Part 1 contains: (f. 1r) Epistula ad Thetboldum / Gerbert of Reims (pope Sylvester II). Fragment. - (ff. 1v-2r) De 'in' prepositione explanatio / Godescalc of Orbais. - (f. 2r-v) Vita Gregorii Magni / John the Deacon. Fragment.
Part 2 contains: (ff. 3v-71v) Epistulae / pope Gregory the Great. Numbered I-CCLIV. Preceded by a numbered list of correspondents in two colums (3v-5r). - (f. 72r-v) Pen trials: bible verses, neumes, alphabet.
Part 3 contains: (ff. 73r-80v) In gloria martyrum / Gregory of Tours. Incomplete (first part: chapters I-XXX). The preceding chapter list in two columns (73r-v) is numbered I-CV.
Part 4 contains: (f. 81r) Poetry. - (f. 81v) Commentarius in Genesim / Remigius of Auxerre. Incomplete (only beginning).

Origin and date (part 2): "Mittleres Frankreich (?), IX. Jh., ca. 2. Drittel", According to Bischoff 2004. De Meyier 1975 suggests Loire region, probably Abbey of Saint-Mesmin de Micy.
Script: Part 1 written by three scribes: ff. 1r (A), 1v-2r/9 (B), 2r/11-2v (C). - Part 4: f. 81r contains text from five 12th-century hands, f. 81v text from a 10th-century scribe.
Upper right corner of ff. 3-12 missing, with consequent loss of text.
Binding: Post-medieval binding.
Textual: (f. 81r) Various short poems, added in the 12th century. Incipit of first poem: "Quatuor ut mundus elementis est oriundus...".
