Based on note (f. 3r) "Jussu Ruggeri liber alte Materiei / Is meruit fieri matris et esse DEI/ ... / Rugger Prepositus morum summa redimitus / Me jussit scribi virgo MARIA tibi". - Rugger, abbot of Fulda Abbey between 1176 et 1177, was also provost of Frauenberg monastery, which he modernised and provided with a library, according to Lieftinck 1964.
Script: Two scribes: A (ff. 1r-9r, 130r-186r), B (ff. 10r-129r).
Binding: Medieval binding, not contemporary. - Leather (brown, blind-tooled) over wooden boards. Two eye-and-pin fastenings (long-strap, closing on front board face, renewed with reuse of old strap plates). With parchemnt title label pasted on front cover: "Ep(istu)le Theodorici regis / Didascalon Hugonis".
Textual: (ff. 169r-186v) Starts with "De operibus sex dierum et ipsorum distinctione". Incipit: "De Pentateucho. Omnium mirabilium velut principale...".
