Album with 206 photographs mounted in the album. Also an article with title 'Hoe het Kloetmeer werd drooggelegd' (=appendix 001) with 6 loose photographs (numbered photo 207-211 and 3 charts (charts 001-003), a handwritten document (appendix 002) about the eruption of the Kloet in 1919. Also documentation about Fotostudio Kurkdjian & Co. (appendix 003) and sugar and the sugarfactory (appendix 004-006), a handwritten document about 'De uitbarsting van de Kloet' (appendix 007), and part of a typed letterwritten by A.J. van der Weijde, August 1946 (appendix 008).
Some photographs have a signature of Atelier Kurkdjian Soerabaia Java. Subject mainly the sugar factory Poerwoasrie, East Java. Several photographs of working areas, interiors, the European club, group portraits and some photographs probably of the Stork archive (with perforation: GEBR. STORK & Co. MACHINEFABRIEK HENGELO. Machines by Machinefabriek Stork &Co (Hengelo) could be purchased. Stork even built entire sugarfactories in the Dutch Indies. in the back of the album 12 photographs related to "JAVA TEAK" (Timberyard Javateak forest (Java, Electric sawmill at Samarang (Java), Loading of Javateak sleepers for South African Railways & Harbours, etc; when the bottom of the photo is lifted, a description of the photo becomes visible).
