Date and origin (part 1): Based on colophon: (f. 7v) "Dubthach hos versus transcripsit tempore parvo (Indulge lector que mala scripta vides), tertio idus Apriles, tertio anno decennovenalis cicli, atertio die ante pascha, tertia decima luna incipiente, tertia hora post meridiem, tribus degitis, tribus instrumentis: penna, membrano, atramento, trinitate auxiliatrice" (11 April 838). - According to Bischoff 2004: "Wahrscheinlich irisches Zentrum in Frankreich, 838. - Einträge des Johannes Scottus". - According to Gumbert 2009: ff. 192-197206-207, 201-205 written in France (northern part?), 9th century, second half.
Origin (part 1):
Binding: Medieval binding, not contemporary (Egmond, 1465). - Parchment over wooden boards. Remnants of two eye-and-pin fastenings (long-strap, closing on front board face, catch plates and strap plates remaining). Metal feet (2x2) and corner pieces (one remaining of 2x2). Fenestra with "Priscianus" on front board.
Textual: (ff. 1r-207v) With Greek and Latin glosses by John Scotus and Latin glosses by (possibly) Johannes de Beke. - (ff. 1r-7v) Greek text translated in Latin by Priscian. - (ff. 8r-8v) On f. 8r a list of words in Greek with Latin translation. On f. 8v a fragment of a Priscian-commentary. - (ff. 8r-8v) Translation from the Greek by Priscian. With glosses. - (ff. 9r-207v) With prologue and glosses.
