Painting: ZHAO YE BO TU "Shining Light of Night", section. A rearing horse, tethered to a pole. The favorite steed of emperor Minghuang (Xuanzong) of the Tang dynasty. Note the huge number of collectors' seals and colophons (see comment card), most conspicuous the Qianlong emperor's handwritten colophon (top left) and seal: QIANLONG YULAN ZHI BAO "Treasure having been examined by Qianlong".
