Zij groeijen lang en dik, Desselfs smaak op de tongh is scherp, Zij heeft een purgeerende kragt. t’Zap van de jonge rancken, is een groot middel in venus agtige Lichamen. De melck agtige vogt die van de boom separeert, doet de wonden materie maken. Zij vallen hier weijnig maar veel op Jaffanapatnam.

The exudate from the young branches is a good medicine for sexually transmitted diseases (?) The milky exudate from this tree helps to ripen abscesses. They grow sporadically here, but plentiful on Jaffanapatnam.
