Radix Zaeije alsoo genaamt bij de Malabaren Zijn wortel loopt een span a twee in d’aarde enfijn, zijn werking is dat hij t’bloed zuijvert, en komt alle quade humeuren des lichaams te hulp, ja doet een groot voordeel aan menschen die de teering hebben. Zij vallen in veelheijt bij en om Jaffanapatnam.
The root of Zaeije, named by the Malabar, grows ca. 40 cm in the soil. It has blood purifying properties and helps against bad humours in the body. It is a good medicine for people with tuberculosis. They grow plentiful in and around Jaffanapatnam.
