Abstract	Poedakarappan, alsoo genaamt bij de Malabaren, en bij de Cingaleesen urandagas, is een groote boom die zoo een stank heeft als drek, de natuur van deselve is heet, geneest alle schurftheijt en zuijvert het bloed, Zij vallen hier overal. Poedakarappan, named by the Malabars and by the Sinhalese urandagas, is a large tree that stinks like shit. It is of a hot nature, cures all kinds of scabies and purifies the blood. They grow here everywhere.
