Kottepaczi, soo genaemt bij de Malabaren, en bij de Zingaleesen Diaparandala. Zij vallen op moerassige gronden. Soo dra als water op die plaats komt te blijven staan, dan drijven zij op het water. Zij is kout van natuur. Zij verdrijft de hitte of verbrantheijt. Zij vallen hier over al.
Kottepaczi, named by the Malabars and by the Sinhalese Diaparandala. It grows on swampy soils. As soon as water is standing in a place, it floats on the water. It is cold of nature, and drives away the heat or burns. They grow everywhere here.
