Note	Probably early 16th century. The General Code of Law of the Ottoman Empire, a version of the ḳānūnnāme compiled in the early 16th century. No title is given, but the work is described in the introduction (5b: 8-9) as Ḳavā‘id-i cihānbānīye ve ḳavānīn-i ‘örfīye-i ‘Os̲mānīye.
