The second issue of Yuan yang 《原样》 is dated 1990 on the cover. This may point to its manuscript completion rather than the actual printing, which was probably done in 1992.
Original State was produced by the Nanjing University Formalist Poetry Small Group. Issues # 1-2 almost exclusively feature the work of Che Qianzi and Zhou Yaping. Original State is extremely valuable material, if only because the work of Che Qianzi, an utterly unclassifiable and original voice often classified as Alternative (linglei), has been only erratically published.
