The Ieaues that doe embrace the ten 5’ weake iialks are flat and fleightly cut : the floures grow at the top of the lialks,ofa bright fhifllng purple colour, fer about a blackifh pointall with {mail thrums or- chiues like a pale. The root 15 knobby,thicke,and very brittle,as are mofl: of thofe of the Anemones.
