Johan (Jan) Engelbert van Bevervoorde (Makassar Oosterdistricten, 26 June 1881 - Soekamiskin airfield near Bandung, 11 September 1918) was a Dutch soldier, aviation pioneer, knight in the Military William Order and owner of the Honorary Saber and Honorable Mention. During the First World War he received his flying training at the flying field in Soesterberg. He obtained his military license on 19 April 1916 (source: nl.wikipedia.org).
