Abstract | Vincent van Gogh was inspired by this print of Hiroshige (see Van Goghs Utopia 6). Visitors to the flowering plum are seen beyond a gnarled plum tree in close- up. This startling contrast between nearby and the distant must have fascinated Vincent van Gogh. The teahouse in the kameido gardens was one of the best-known spots fro viewing plum blossoms. |
