Abstract | Fishing-gear from Satohama shell midden: two antler fishing-hooks, L. 7,6 cm; three antler swallow-tail harpoon pieces, which loose themselves from the shaft, L. 6,5-11 cm; an antler harpoon, L. 9,2 cm; four horn barbed fishing spears, L. 9,1-6,9 cm; a composite (forked) horn fishing spear, part one L. 14,9 cm, part two L. 19,2 cm, two antler slightly bend spears, L. 11-12 cm and four stone arrowheads, L. 3,7-7,2 cm. The tools were fastened to their shafts by means of asphalt. Final Jomon. Satohama Shell Midden, Miyatojima, Miyagi-ken.
