Abstract | A small table of Japanese cedar wood. Late Yayoi. Table-top: L. 60,3 cm, B. 34,3 cm, T. 1,2 cm. Sasai Site, Fukuoka, Fukuoka-ken. The various parts of the table were held together by pegs. The parts were made in a standardized form which could be easily put together. The introduction of new techniques and tools during the Middle Yayoi made it possible to make this kind of wood-work.
