Wall painting, detail: Mahâkâsyapa attending the Meeting. Buddha summonded his disciples to appear in front of the Brahmacârin to convert them to Buddhism. Mahakâsyapa changes himself into five hundred horses (here economized to five) in order to attend the meeting. Combination of Chinese and foreign elements.
