Cod.Or. 12.364 Terceme-i Cografya ^ An early 19th-century copy of a translation of a geographical handbook, probably European, of which title and author are not mentioned. The title of the translation is found in a heading preceding the text on f. lb. The title page (la) contains the inscription ‘Cografya-i merhüm Katib Celebi’ but this is impossible in view of the fact that the original was written after the 17th century; the latest date in the text referring to a historical event seems to be 1125/1713, the year of the Treaty of Utrecht (210b).
