KBG 101 Arab, in the Djakarta collection, of which we have a microfilm copy, contains (besides the tracts that have been entered under their titles) the following pieces: (4) p. 65-69. Beginning: Bsml wa-bihi tiqatï la gairahu al-hamdu lillah alladl laisa ka-mitlihi öai’. The anonymous author during his travels to Rantau BStung and bybwl (PSnySbul?) in the district Mandala meets a man called 'Abd al-Galll, a pupil of al-Hagg *Abd al-Muhyi who lives in Karang (tawwala'llahu 'umrahu). (Concerning him, see: Rinkes, TBG 52 (1910) p. 556 et sqq.). This man asks him to explain the true meaning of the traditions: Qalb al-mu’min f aré Allah and: Man 'arafa nafsahu faqad 'arafa rabbahu. He does so, citing, besides other well-known süfic author ities, 6ar Allah Ibn Zuhaira, a Meccan scholar who lived in 960/1553 (G. II, 381). He declares himself incompetent to give a silsila .of the fSattariyya tarïqa. It seems probable that this tract was composed by al-Hlgg Yusuf at-Tag, author of the preceding and the following part of the MS., during his peregrinations in Western Java (cf.
