The Hikayat Maresekalek proper ends on p. 41; there begins the unfinished history of Palembang (1812-1819), used by Woelders (1975) pp. 52-4; the text in Romanized form is published by Woelders on pp. 156-186, a Dutch translation on pp. 347-384, and a comment on pp. 426-430; the author of the part about the history of Palembang was probably the copyist himself; cf.
