The story of Indera Bermaya, a human prince born after his father Puspa Indera Kawaca had eaten melur flowers; Indera Bermaya dreamt of the picture of Kesuma Indera, a heavenly princess who is engaged to Indera Syah Peri and is a daughter of Puspa Indera; the latter is the grandson of Langlang Buana; he goes in search of her and on his way comes across a hermit from whom he learns the magic arts; from the hermit Kesna Candera he receives a magic stone enabling him to meet Langlang Buana, with whose aid he will manage to enter the heaven of the gods; Langlang Buana advises Indera Bermaya to go to Maharaja Sakti to learn first of all the art of returning to life; in heaven he has to defeat Indera Syah Peri before he marries Kesuma Indera; cf.
