Pro Patria; 21 x 17 cm.; 16-17 lines per p.; neat writing; the copying was finished on 28 Dzulka‘edah 1269/2 September 1853 by Haji Abdul-Wahid at Serkam (in the near vicinity of Malacca); in a postscript it is mentioned that the MS is a copy of a MS from Pulau Pinang, that the author is Syaikh Muhammad ‘Arif, and that it was translated into Malay in Sya‘ban 1249/end of December 1833 or January 1834; Van der Tuuk bequest. The text contains a story of the life of Muhammad, alternating with Arabic verses; in the colophon the story is called Mawlid an-Nabi; probably the same as Hikayat Mir Muhammad mentioned by Werndly (1736) or Hikayat Nabi Muhammad by De Hollander (1893), p. 334 no. 25.
