Also called Hikayat Raja Damsyik; at a horse-riding contest two sons of the ruler of Damsyik and his consort, Nur Lila, Syah Firman and Saifulkamar by name, lose their way; their wandering begins; Syah Firman finds Princess Indera Kemala Cahaya, who has been kidnapped by a garuda; he kills the garuda and marries the princess; both princes go to Kufah where Saifulkamar looks at the portrait of a princess and faints; with the aid of nenek kebayan, Syah Firman is able to win the hand of Princess Indera Seloka for his brother; after the wedding both princes return to Damsyik with their wives; now the 120 irate suitors of Indera Seloka, among whom the princes of Syam, Hindia, Yaman, and Mesir, have to be defeated; on the flyleaf a synopsis by Klinkert.
