This digital collection comprises manuscripts and other rare materials from Southeast Asia, specifically Indonesia, focusing on histories, philosophies, religions, literatures, and formal decrees of the region. The collection consists of a wide variety of materials, such as palm leaf, tree bark, and bamboo. Also paper squeezes from Arabic and Hindu Buddhist tombstones and gold leaf letters are amongst this collection. The manuscripts are mainly written in Javanese, Arabic or Balinese script and language, but other regional scripts and languages are also represented.
