Drawings (Print Room)
Dutch drawings from 1500 until the present time
David Humbert de Superville, The lion on the coast of Holland (PK-T-1542)

The collections of drawings of the former ‘Prentenkabinet’ (Print Room), founded in 1822, consists of around 12,000 drawings of mostly Dutch origin, dating from 1500 until now. The collections is the result of some major purchases, such as the collections of Albertus Welcker (1957) and Adolphus Staring (1969). Almost every Dutch artist is represented with a single leaf up to dozens of drawings. The focus in extending the collection has shifted to contemporary Dutch drawings.
